Walter Leland Cronkite, Jr., considered by many to be "the most trusted man in America" has died. The announcement came from his family. Most recently 92-year-old Cronkite had been suffering from cerebrovascular disease. Walter Cronkite anchored the CBS Evening News for 19 years, from 1962-1981. He lent his iconic voice to the broadcast in 2006 when Katie Couric began anchoring the program.
This summer is insane for famous dudes dying, who do we have so far? Kronkite, Robert Strange McNamara, MJ, OxyClean dude, Fawcett(sp), Ed McMan, McNair--basically, if you've got an Irish-sounding name and your kind of famous, you might want to be careful.
ReplyDeleteLess than a week ago I spoted the trend that famous people with last names beginning with "Mc" were gettting deaded with earie regularity, now renown author Frank McCourt catches a bad one. All I'm saying, Brian McKnight, is that you better watch your back, homie.
ReplyDeleteShit... Now that I think about it, Mayor McCheese isn't looking too healthy these days...
