Here's the backstory on whats going on in this video.  There's a guy named Mike Stark who's taken his hobby of intellectually thrashing right-wing Republican talk show hosts (particularly Rush Limbaugh), and turned it into an fine art. By simultaneously providing the facts and taking a steaming dump on Republican talking points, as well as completely sonning him in front of his own audience, Stark is beginning to compile a portfolio of masterpieces.  Since Limbaugh absolutely loathes trying to match wits with an intellectual superior (someone who knows and confronts him with the facts), he resorts to the typical dishonest strategy of cutting the person off, talking over them, or scrambling to come up with any outlandish lie to try and refute reality. What's even more brilliant is that, not only has Stark figured out a way to disguise his phone number so that Limbaugh's producers are unable to know it's him, but he has also begun recruiting other people to call into the show and shit on him as well. Be sure to watch Rush's epic MELTDOWN/ temper tantrum he unleashes on one of his very own ditto-head fans after Stark's call.  (Watch him check his computer screen at what is certainly an instant message from his producer, apologizing profusely for letting Stark on the air...-again... -AWESOME)

There’s “getting up” and then there’s GETTING UP. MSK/AWR has taken to the skies above Los Angeles City Hall this afternoon in a not so subtle “how you like them apples” at District Attorney, Carmen Trutanich. Various skywriting-equipped planes zoomed around the building, taunting it as if King Kong, expertly placing each member of the crews names in a familiar Hollywood sign white.  With the Heal the Bay controversy still fresh, and Trutanich’s zero tolerance policy on art, October is shaping up to be an artistic pennant race. The mastermind behind the statement, SABER, is no stranger to going big.  His 1997 piece on the banks of the LA River is the largest graffiti piece to date.

This is one of the most interesting things I've stumbled upon -probably ever. It's a pretty long video but well worth your time. In a nutshell, the basis of the Venus Project, lays out a new plan for humanity that aims to do away with politics, poverty and war. Obviously these are pretty ambitious goals, but then again the alternative is sticking with the globalist corporatocracy that we're suffering through currently.

Climate Activist Tim DeChristopher Given Two-Year Sentence For Derailing Bush Oil Auction.
In the waning days of the Bush presidency, an auction of 130,000 acres of pristine Utah lands near national parks was organized by the Bureau of Land Management as a last-minute gift to the oil and gas industry. The auction was disrupted by climate activist Tim DeChristopher, then a 27-year-old economics student, who successfully bid for $1.7 million in parcels. Although the Bush leasing plan was found in court to be flawed and has been withdrawn, today DeChristopher was sentenced to two years in federal prison, fined $10,000 for his act of civil disobedience, and taken immediately into custody. At the sentencing, DeChristopher — a native of West Virginia, where coal companies rule supreme — explained why he was willing to take on the government and the fossil fuel industry, risking a prison sentence that could have been as long as ten years: I actually have great respect for the rule of law, because I see what happens when it doesn’t exist, as is the case with the fossil fuel industry. The federal prosecutor, Assistant U.S. Attorney John Huber, sought a stiff sentence against DeChristopher “‘to afford adequate deterrence to criminal conduct’ by others,” because “the rule of law is the bedrock of our civilized society, not acts of ‘civil disobedience’ committed in the name of the cause of the day.” “The people who are committed to fighting for a livable future will not be discouraged or intimidated by anything that happens here today,” DeChristopher responded in his 35-minute address. “And neither will I.”
