Have you seen Lupe Fiasco's horrible rock band Japanese Cartoon? He said his "singing" style is an homage to Ian Curtis. Dude even sings with a fake English accent. Lupe, you're my man (n/h), but this is the worst side project since Chris Gaines.
I just listened to it... Ehh... It's not that bad. The Brit accent is pretty annoying, but on the substance of it, it's a slightly higher level of mediocrity than I'm accustomed to hearing from most modern music. Not a compliment to Lupe F., but more of an inditement on the current state of the music industry.
