Puerto Rican Day Parade
Today was the Puerto Rico Day Parade in Chicago, where hanging out the passenger side of your best friend's ride trying to holler at girls has been elevated to an artform. No woman was safe. Anyone within yelling distance of the curb was getting at least a "hey mami" from a guy in a coqui tank top out the window of a moving car. The whole scene made me reminisce on TLC's "No Scrubs." I've only now realized that the video is about three women in outer space singing about broke dudes. Since hanging out the window of a spaceship would probably mean instant death, I doubt they really had to contend with that.

No doubt. 1000 Cats is on par with the Mona Lisa, finding the cure for polio, Citizen Kane and Pac-Man Fever as cultural touchstones. But, as you taught me, LOA is about the diversity of the human condition. While 1000 Cats will undoubted touch some, aggressive Puerto Rican dudes will (repeatedly) touch others.
Hablo real (real talk)...
