LORDS OF APATHY

WHO'S THE MAC?

Have you ever seen the movie 'Mac and Me'? Well, I haven't either; but based on these 2 clips and a recap from my friend, it seems to be absolutely dreadful... I guess this movie was bankrolled by McDonalds who was blatantly trying to cash in on the blockbuster 'E.T', by completely ripping off every aspect of it...-Shittily... Here's a scene in which an impromptu dance-off takes place at a McDonald's for no particular reason at all. One of the strangest, most flagrant product placements in film history.
This next one is the infamous wheelchair scene... Keep your eyes peeled for the most shitty green-screen editing of all time.. This shit is one for the ages... A fucking abomination.

When I was a kid my brothers and I thought this movie was the shit. We saw it in the theater which was a big deal considering we rarely went to the movies. I saw it on cable a year ago and was horrified at how shitty it was. It isn't a Short Circuit, ya know?

Another childhood movie I realized sucked all along was "Gymkata". Besides some gymnist styled karate and the town of the crazies the movie just made no sense.

Damn, that McDonalds was poppin! Shit was more live than First Ave on a Saturday night, I think I even saw some Washington Redskin players in the background getting down...

Fuck man.
Breaking circles in the lot.
Boomboxes.
Hot waitresses.
NFL celebs.
Clowns.
And a Hip-Hopped out Teddy Ruxpin.

Sign me up. Fuck Burger King...

I knew a boy who got called 'mac and me hands' at school because his hands looked like the aliens hands in that film. I love it when someone gets dissed with an obscure reference like that.

If you watch Conan O'Brien enough you know that Paul Rudd always brings the clip of that kid falling off the cliff and shows it as "his clip" instead of showing off whatever movie he is in.

you are so wrong. this movie is and was amazing. in a really terrible way of course.

the only thing better was the movie "Slapstick of Another kind". Not sure if that's more or less obscure but it was definitely fucking awesome.
