TRICKERATION

Credit where credit is due; the Bears pulled off one of the coolest trick plays I think I've ever seen in an NFL game (allbeit against my defending world champion Packers). Speaking of 'champions' I am myself a champion of fairplay and accurate officiating.  I didn't see any holding penalty on that play and think that the Bears should have been awarded the touchdown. It was an unfortunate call for the bears and cast unnecessary doubt on the fact that they would have eventually lost the game anyways.  My sincere apologies go out to Detroit Murder Dog and the rest of Bears nation.

The iPad is Killing the US Economy

Despite Derrick Rose's best efforts, it ain't all good in Chi Town. This week, Congressman/imbecile Jesse Jackson Jr. took to the House floor to blast the iPad as a jobs killer. Steve Jobs and the Chinese get fat while the American paper book industry crumbles. Ban the iPad! While we're at it, fuck Microsoft Word! It's putting typewriters out of business!

Under ordinary circumstances, Jesse Jr.'s complaint about the desire of some schools to use the iPad instead of traditional paper books would be merely laughable and ill-informed. However, it gets upgraded to "fucking moronic" when you remember that just last month Jesse Jr. made a speech in Congress advocating for a Constitutional amendment to guarantee a iPad to every child. Peace to everyone on the South Side who voted for this clown.

The Second Coming

Bow down to the best basketball player in the world. Rose falls out of the rafters to block a shot, sprints up the floor, spins through traffic and finishes off the glass around Indiana's bigs for the hoop. And oh yeah, despite the Pacers leading for 47 minutes, Rose led the Bulls on a 16-1 run to win the game. Stunt that, Lebron. If you're not on the Rose bandwagon now, get familiar.
