PLAYER HATERS

The Art Police are out of control in Los Angeles these days. On a legal level, I fail to see the difference between this, and some of the more obnoxious Christmas santa/Jesus laser-light shows that nobody seems to care about. Hey, here's an idea: how about they charge every dipshit conservative who files a complaint, a $5,000 fine for wasting everyone's collective time.  How about, if you don't like it , go look at something else like A Starbucks, or a Wal Mart or a Bank of America Billboard or one of the many other truely ugly things we all have to put up with looking at every day.

Airport Shopping

Thunderstorms in Chicago kept me at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport all day. Delta wouldn't tell us when we could leave, so I had no choice but to pound Coronas at Chilis Too until I blacked out. When I woke up, I was at the checkout counter at something called The Spirit of the Red Horse buying the painting shown above. Turns out all sales are final.

Trying to walk off the disappointment of a $2500 tab for a painting of two grizzlies in a canoe, I stopped into a store called Sport Minnesota where I saw the shirt below. Seriously, under what circumstances would buying this tee be acceptable?

Ukrainian Sand Art

In the US, we spend our free time drinking cough syrup and playing video games. Not so in Eastern Europe where they stay honing crazy talents. The halftime show at the last Bulls game was two Slovakian brothers doing flips through fire, and before that was a Russian gymnast who set some kind of hula hoop record. This video shows the winner of Ukraine's Got Talent. Not a surprising win since the other contestants were a dancing bear and a Putin impersonator. Anyway, this is pretty banana. As an aside, if you threw some D's on this lady, she'd really be in business.

Album Cover of the Year Voting Starts Now

I think they got Terry Richardson to shoot the photos and then Pen & Pixel did the the layout. So much emotion in this cover. Without even hearing the music, I can feel that these guys (1) make money, (2) are cold, (3) know how to wear some hats, and (4) just don't give a fuck. If anyone knows where I can can get a New Era with a dollar sign on it, holler at DMD.
